Ds is less than week old and is feeding 30 minutes -2 hourly at night? He wont settle in his moses basket so he sleeps next to me. But i am paranoid about smothering him because he's so tiny (born 7lb 4oz has gone down to 6lb 11 oz).
I co slept with ds from about 6 or 8 weeks (he intially would settle after a feed in his moses basket but i preferd feeding laying down so started co-sleeping) I think and never had the same fears about smothering him. But I think it was becasue he was a little bigger at that stage and also i was getting more sleep as i would sleep in with him, which i can't do this time with ds1 getting up at 7 and only being 22 months so has to be supervised. Also ds1 has wondered into our bed a few nights in a row, (he gets taken back to his own room) and i am worried about him clambering over ds2.
I can't seem to find a side cart attachement for the bed online, so please could someone link to one if possible. Our Room is too small to fit a cot in, so looking for something smaller than a standard cot.
Ds is a carpenter so if all else fails i could try and get him to custom build something but finding the time at the moment is hard.
Please help if you can. I would be able to utilise the little sleep i am getting if i was able to switch off a little without the fear of waking up to a listluss baby. I REALLY need some SLEEP!
TIA
