At my wits end - baby with a cold won't eat/drink

I really need some advice even if it's do nothing or get to a doctor.
My 9.5 mo has had a rotten cold since Saturday. Ended up in gp out of hours on Saturday night as he had temp of 99.7 but that's fine. He's been sick and had diarreah but will only take milk (bf) during the night. Think he's scared to take any as he thinks he won't be able to breathe. Or maybe he's just lost his appetite?? Anyway saw doc yesterday as he'd only had 1 wet nappy besides diarreah and he said the night time milk will get him through the day. He's screaming like I've never seen now as he's so tired and I presume hungry and generally I'll.
How can i help him if he won't breastfeed.

My dd has been ill and I've has the same woories as you, i found a very cold drink really got some fluids inot her, just added ice cubes to her drink and waited till ice cold. Also ice/cream/lollies.
