Boob size and breastfeeding

Do your boobs stay huge as long as you're breastfeeding, or do they eventually start to shrink? I've been bfing for almost three weeks.

I'm only asking because my bosoms are gargantuan at the moment - and I'm only 5foot tall. I look so out of proportion, it's getting me down (I know - shallow)

They do wettle down a wee bit McSnail, once your supply settles down and you are no longer getting engorged, but they will more than likely stay bigger for the duration of BFing.

Saying that though, my boobs never went back to their pre pregnancy size after I had my DS seven years ago, even though I only BF him for 6 weeks so they might stay bigger.

It varies from person to person but they'll definitely be smaller by 3 months that they were in the first couple of week. As LackaDAISYcal says it's to do with your supply settling down.

Mine have gradually got smaller during the 6months I've been BFing.

Still 2 cup sizes bigger than normal though.
I'm only 5'2" and am a 34H so also look out of proportion.

And yes I'm shallow about it too. If I go out without DS I wear an underwired bra as my clothes fit so much better. Although the first time I wore it on an evening out, I was so busy showing my girlfriends that my boobs were where they used to be, had massive letdown.
