Hello all. My ds is 7 weeks old tom. He has reflux so has gavisgon before every feed and is on aptamil easy digest milk. He got weighed on tuesday is 9lb 11oz he was 6lb 12oz born.

Well he is on 6oz of aptamil easy digest milk but he is only just going every 3 hours and then i have to feed him again otherwise he will just scream and scream so there is no way i can make him go 4 hours.

So my question is do you think i should try and change his milk to aptamil hungry baby milk or just carry on and let him have a bottle every 3 hours.

Every 3 hours is fine, no need to stretch him between feeds Just feed him when he asks for it.

Every 3 hours is pretty normal for 7 weeks. There is no need at all for him to only be fed every 4 hours - if he wants food, he wants food

Hungry baby formula is harder to digest so if he is on the easy digest stuff I'd avoid it - may find it gives him stomach ache.

thanks everyone. I have been getting myself really stressed because everyone is telling me he should go every 4 hours, even doctor said it at 6 week check. He goes longer in the night and normally only wakes for 1 feed, its just in the day he only goes max 3 hours.

They are all talking crap, quite frankly.

Bet none of them only allow themselves food or drink every four hours!

He's tiny still, and if he needs feeding he needs feeding. Ignore them

Panda girl for 7 weeks even every 3 hours would be amazing in my experience! My DS fed every 2 hours until he was about 8 weeks, then every 3 hours in the day until about 3 weeks ago when we finally stretched it to 4 hours and he's 5 months now!

Sounds like your DS is doing really well, just feed him when he wants it, makes life easier
