Infant feeding

Feeling a bit emotional

I'm leaving on Sunday night to go on a week long trainign course so ds wil be getting his last breastfeed on Sunday morning. I never planned on feeding past 12 months (he is now almost 16) and after our very dodgy start and breast refusal I know I'm lucky that we have got this far.

I just don't feel ready although I know it has to happen some time.

I don't know if this will help, but in some ways it will be an easy way for you to give up. Took me a year to succeed half heartedly

JulieF, from what I know, you probably will still have milk when you get back, even if you don't pump while away. If you want to keep going, you can.

Obviously, if you're happy to stop, do so. 16 months is a good long time to feed.
