i hate the things *shudder*and im dreading having to wear one when my son is born in october! but iv just thought: do you think i could get away with wearing a bikini top instead of a nursing bra? if its a halter bikini i can just as easily whip my boobs out to feed in the same way id have to drop a cup on the nursing bra, but surprisingly, a bikini gives me more support than a nursing bra does. has anyone done this?

what is it you don't like about them?

Is it because they are hideous? Mine are stunning .

the other boob will droop while you are feeding and it will be harder to stay neat, if you are that worried get the ultra glam ones on sites like hot milk, figleaves even ebay has nicer ones

iv been professionally fitted into nursing bras with my DD, but they still ended up giving me depressing shape. the weight of my bust pulls the back of the bra up even though im wearing the right size. im not a particularly awkward size (32DD/E) but a non wired just never supports the weight of my chest. plus it made me look saggy! i used to work in a la senza and was a bra fitter myself, so i knew what was a good fit and what wasn't, and no nursing bras, even the really expensive ones, fit me perfectly, as i was forever fiddling and being very self conscience of my silhouette.a bikini though, im fine to wear!

would highly reccomend the Freya one, I am a 32e also and I hat non wired bras usually but this one gives a great shape on my big saggy norks! and it is quite pretty also. I would like to try the hotmilk range but can't afford at the mo. Good luck bra hunting!

the anita underwired bras are much more flattering.

Another recommendation for Freya here -I had a couple last time I was BF, and will use again (if they still fit!) for the baby I'm expecting in October.

Fabulous link noodlesoup I've just spent £50 in a matter of seconds!

or you could try to convert one of your normal bras yourself?
