Follow-on Formula

My son is 9.5months now, eats his solids like they are going out of fashion, there isn't much he hasn't tried yet. He never has drunk a huge amount of formula milk eg. 4ish oz a feed before weaning and that satisfied him.
Now he is weaned he has 3oz of follow on formula on his breakfast in the morning and 9oz of it at night before bed (I know this isn't up to the recommended amounts for a 9month old, but I cant force him to drink it!) He has white sauces or yogs/rice pudding in the day.

Just recently I've noticed him becoming more sicky after having had formula...
Sometimes after breakfast he'll bring up a bit a couple of times and the same with supper (sorry TMI!) This didn't happen when I switched him to it when he was 6months old, can anyone tell me why it might be happening now..?

I don't know if I can really answer your question except to say that my son (now 16months) went through various sicky stages, right from breast to bottle to bowl even when I thought they were supposed to be grown out of it- just sicked up a tiny bit last week! so I don't know that there is such a thing as a rational explanation when it comes to this.

Is he more active now........ could it be just a simple case of excersise on full tummy !! or is his high chair set too upright....... Sometimes babies tummies take longer to fully develope the muscle strength to hold down a full tummy full in the fully upright position, as the tummy muscles are working hard to keep baby upright.
As for the not drinking enough, you can always knock out any juice or water and only let him drink milk during the day ( watered down abit in the very hot weather) if we ever get any...............
