dc2 due in sept, had a bit of a hellish time bfing dd, did it exclusively for 4.5 months, then the fact she was still feeding nearly every hour during the day began to drive me a bit mental, also she was starving, crying constantly etc. Did mixed i.e. the occassional bottle until 7 months whittling it down to jsut a bf at night then I gave up.

This time I'd like to try again but after 3 months start giving him/her the odd bottle of formula if I'm busy such as at night when I go to my yoga class once a week or on a night out. Would carry on bf the rest of the time.

Would the odd bottle in the evening really affect my supply after 3 months? presuming 3 months is a long enough time to get bf established that is.

Not going to be expressing this time round due to the hell of it last time so it would be formula. Anyone knowledgeable about this?

Have you considered expressing and giving the expressed milk at night?
