A discussion on another forum (not a parenting forum, may I add)has made me think-me and my friend both made breastmilk cocktails for our DPs and friends to taste, and just thought of it as a cool thing our bodies could do. Apparently we are weird. Are we?

I also used to squirt milk at people who annoyed me. It was funny

The only person I squirted breastmilk on, was my newborn son (by accident) and my 3 year old dd as a bit of joke one day when I was in the bath and it came squirting out

LOL I see how far mine sqirts in the bath ON MY OWN but would never squirt at someone I do find it odd that people are totally fine with cows milk but wierd about breast milk

yes, I agree - was pleasantly surprised when I was moaning to DH about all the BM I was going to waste when expressing at a wedding (couldn't be bothered with sterilising / refridgerating) and he said very matter-of-factly he'd have it in his tea as it would be much nicer than the UHT things. Made me question why I thought adults drinking it was an odd thing to do - obviously it's unconventional and not necessary in most situations but there's nothing actually wrong with it!
