Nanny Goat infant formula

My first child really suffered with colic and reflux and I think its bcos she found it difficult to digest the generic cow's milk formulas like SMA or Cow & Gate. I thought I'd try the goat's milk version this time -Nanny Goat. Has anyone tried it and opinions?

If you're worried about reactions to formula, then planning to breastfeed may be the best option.

Grendle is right - goat-based formula isn't licensed for infant use in the UK, and for good reason.

BF is a very good idea if you think ds may be allergicky / intolerant

my ds1had it and still has to drink delamere, ds2 10 weeks is on it too due to dairy/soya allergies andunder paed supervision i put him on it and havnt looked back since

using goat formula under paed supervision is a different matter to buying it just because you think it's better than SMA...

my dd2 is allergic to dairy. I had to cut out dairy whilst BF and I tried goat's milk and soya (me) and she didn't improve until I cut everything out.

She is now 9mo and on hydrolised formula.

you should go and see the gp and see what they say. mine prescribed nutramigen first (because of allergies in family) and he couldnt tollerate that either and then went on neocate etc but same happened. At the end of the day its up to you what you feed your baby but better to get some prof advise first. you can still buy it here. Waitrose sell the follow on formula (over 6 months i think) and health shops sell the newborn plus follow on and i buy mine in bulk of a fab organic english online shop as cheaper.
