'Goodnight milk'.....does it help babies sleep?

Ive just seen a advert in a baby magazine for HIPP Organic Goodnight milk, apparantly containing cereals. Im just wondering if anyone has tried a goodnight milk, and if they think theay work. Are they ok to use? I thought cereal in a bottle was a big No No.
My 6 1/2 month old is not very keen on solids and is still waking once or twive a night, Im just wondering if she may sleep longer if I gave one of these Goodnight milks a go.

Hiya,

My almost 6mth old is the same- Up 2-3 times a night. The past few nights we have tried a bottle of hungry baby milk before bed but found it has bad no diference what so ever

I did see that HIPP milk but discounted it as I too read the cereal bit and was put off.

Dont use it!
I used it once for my DD and she had SEVERE trouble pooping the next day.
Just give her more milk during the day or try giving her water in the day - it sounds silly but DD used to wake up alot during the night cos she was thirsty not hungry.

Follow the link on this page to see what the Govt's expert scientists advising on nutrition said. Basically they have serious reservations and couldn't find any evidence to support the companies' claims.

I wouldn't use it personally.

The manufacturers don't even dare to make a claim that these milks make a difference to actual sleep, MoooCow - if they did, they would be taking the p *.

Waking once or twice in the night is normal for a baby of your little girl's age - sorry

Used a tin about three months ago. Made bugger all difference, smelled revolting and was the consistency of porridge and I know I made it up correctly, am a formula officionado after a year of this! Complete waste of time and money.

My 5 and half month old baby wakes several times a night and someone suggested Hipp Goodnight baby milk - is this any good? Do you need different Tommee Tippee teats if so what ones ? Exhausted from several wake ups every night so wondering do I try this milk?

Your baby doesn't need cereal in their milk before bed. Manufacturers of formula milk are prohibited by law to advertise formula for babies under six months old. Hence this is why there are so many products like 'follow on milk', 'hungry baby' and 'goodnight' milk aimed at babies of 6 months plus. It's all the same stuff!
