Dropping breastfeeds?

DD is 8 months and still totally breastfed ie no bottles. She's been on solids now for 2 months her routine is as follows:

6am BF
8am half a weetabix or ready brek with FF cows milk
11am BF
12-1pm pot of savoury food (probably size of a regular 4 month pot) and 2 tablespoonfuls of yogurt and half a banana
4pm BF
5.30pm pot of savoury food and 6 cubes of assorted fruit
7.30pm BF

she will also wake and have a comfort feed most nights around 4am

Problem is she isn't eating her solids very well most ends up in the bin (or I eat them ) she will eat her breakfast no problem but like today she had 2 spoonfuls of both her main course and dessert for lunch 2 spoonfuls of her dinner but ate all her dessert. She would live on fruit if I let her.

I think maybe she is getting too much milk and I should cut out her 4pm breastfeed so I tried this today and she still wasn't that interested in her dinner.

Am I doing the right thing cutting out a feed to make her more hungry for her solids or is it too early at 8 months?

When I'm at M&B I regularly see her little friends demolish a 7 month jar followed by dessert but she won't even eat half a 4 month jar and dessert. Am I being a paranoid first time mum again?

I wouldn't worry - she is still very young and the main thing is that she is showing an interest in solids and starting to incorporate them into her diet. I might start offering her a bit more 'snack' food (fruit is great is she is into it!) before her usual in-between-meals breastfeeds. But it sounds like you are doing a great job and I wouldn't worry too much or compare with other babies (I know it's hard!).

Sounds fine to me too sweetkitty. Some babies just aren't that fussed

so should I still offer her her 4pm BF then?

shes never been a hungry baby and never cries for food etc

she has finger foods (oh the mess) apples banana carrot rice cakes she also has to eat something off my plate at dinnertime think she feels left out so i give her some peas or veg

Yes I would keep up the 4pm feed. It sounds like she is doing really well - I wouldn't worry too much.
