That's my problem really! Despite offering DS boob or bottle every 3 hours or so during the day he's just not interested. He eats 3 good meals a day and I always offer boob/bottle before each meal. I give him a little cup of water with each meal and he might take a couple of sips.

He used to be EBF up until a few weeks ago when I gradually moved a couple of day feeds from boob to bottle, and he would take 2 or 3 oz. The last week or so though he's not interested in any of the boob feeds during the day, and so I've tried offering a bottle.

He usually then has a ff at 11pm or 12pm whenever he wakes (and might take 3 or 4 oz), and then on a good night a couple of breastfeeds during the night.

Any ideas/advice on how to get him to drink more milk during the day?

I think by being tougher at night if you are ready to do this? It is really hard. Some people advise to offer water at night instead of milk and slowly but surely baby will get fed up and not bother waking. Tough but it maybe the only way. One of the Mums here once said that she would willingly wake a few times in the night if someone brought her a bacon sandwich each time - made me laugh but she did have a point!

I agree on only offering water at night. After a couple of nights I bet he won't bother waking.

You have to psych yourself up to do it though (not easy when you're tired, I know).
