My four-month old goes blotchy when feeding - is this normal?

My four-month old goes blotchy around her face and neck and chest when I feed her.

I first noticed it around a month or so ago.

It dissipates after she's done feeding and she is otherwise very health, has breastfed really well and easily since birth and is generally a smiley, happy little thing.

Anyone have any idea whether I should be worried or not?

Quite often it's just the heat of being pressed against your boob! It's nothing to worry about and goes away within 20 minutes anyway (DD had a similar rash and every time I rushed to the docs it had gone by the time we'd parked hmm).

DD goes pretty red too on the side of her face which is leaning against me.

Thanks. That makes sense. In fact, when I gave her a bottle of expressed milk today I noticed that she didn't go blotchy, so mustbe contact with boob as you say.

I was starting to worry she might be allergic to my milk, phew.
