can you mix EBM with formula in same bottle for a feed? just wondered really. I thought I read it on a thread somewhere but can't find it now. Sorry if I'm repeating a recent thread elseehere on here.

Yes I'm doing this all the time at mo as DS2 biting so much that am pumping exclusively until his teeth come thru, but don't get enough EBM yet. I did it with DS1 as well (fairly occasionally) with no probs.

Tetty, it was me that started a thread about 2 weeks ago as I was going into hospital and needed to leave milk for dd3, 4 months, and worried I didn't have enough.
In the end I had 3 largish bottles for the day, ie about 5oz each, only ebm. I reckoned if I got delayed then dp could get out the formula.
As it happened, I think the bottle of 5oz was actually more than what she would have at a normal feed and when I got home at 1pm, dp had only given her one bottle!
Just thought I'd mention this incase your situation was similar and you just don't know if you have enough ebm to keep you going for a day.

Yeah I've been away from DD for a day and a night recently and DH was giving her 4 oz per feed and she was going a lot longer between feeds than when I feed her. I think she gets about 3 oz from me from each BF.
I just wondered for future reference, you never know when these little bits of info might come in handy!
I've learnt so much from MN! this website is the best!
