Can return of AF affect milk and therefore baby?

DD (12 months) has had an upset tummy for about 4 days and we presumed she picked up a bug. She started attending nursery in last couple of weeks for a few days a week but is still exclusively BF. She has diarrhoea (nappies are milky and smelly) but no vomitting, is still eating (though not as much) and BFing (as much as normal, which is still quite a lot).

But then today my AF returned for the first time and I just wondered if there could possibly be another explanation - can the return of AF affect my milk and therefore DD's tummy?

i have never heard of this. But i'm not an expert. I've been feeding Ds2 and having AF for 18 montsh without trouble

It's a bug - it happens - a lot.

A bug. My AF returned after six weeks, despite DS being solely BF, and no bugs. He bf exclusively till 5 months. Please don't worry, thye do pick up bugs at nursery, but the positive side is they have had EVERYTHING before tehy go to school, and are the healthiest kids there

I agree it's probably just a bug.

My dd does tend to have sickey dribbles when I've got my period. She was also a bit fussy at the breast the first few times it came. I think the milk must be very slightly different. Nothing to worry about though.
