introducing a cup...??

Any advice/tips for introducing a cup, got sippy cups at mo, seem to be having slightly more luck using one with a valve, but still get screaming after a mouthful! going to borrow a doidy cup next week, but a sippy one would be useful for when out! any advice???

what are you offering in the cup? I only offered water to start with along with a meal. I offered a drink then left it on the highchair tray for ds to get used to, touch, play with and eventually drink out of.

yeh just water at the moment - did wonder if was worth adding a little bit of apple juice (got some fresh, no added stuff etc)
