Whether it's your first time or you’ve done it all before, no one can predict what breastfeeding will be like.
it's bright yellow / orange!!! is this ok?
yesmine has always started off orangey yellow it soon calms down after a few dayshow old is your baby?
ah that's a relief. thanks. she's 5 days old. didn't notice it with dd1.
How old is your baby?If you've just started feeding you'll be producing colostrum which is usually yellowish. If you've been feeding for a while I don't know what it could be....
My colostrum always reminded me of old gone-off Vaseline. DD1 seemed to like it though.
Yes, it's fine. BM can be all different colours, even green! It can be to do with what you've eaten. Have a look at this article
Oh yeah, could be the colostrum too
Just keeping feeding loads it will quickly turn milky colouredCongrats on having a new baby too
Mine was muddy grey green to start with and a very helpful m/w said she'd never seen colostrum that colour and would just check it was okay to give baby. Was expressing as baby wouldn't latch otherwise she'd never have known & I wouldn't have felt like I was poisoning my own baby! One of the BF counsellors said she'd seen everything from bright green to bright orange.
