Anyone use the Medela Mini Electric breast pump? Is it really noisy?

Hi,

Does anyone else find their Medela Mini Electric Breast pump noisy (i.e. can't hear the tv or have a conversation when it's on)?

I've just come out of hospital with DD2, and used the hospital pumps (also Medela) and was shocked at how quiet and GENTLE they were

My Medela is 3rd hand, probably quite old, and as well as being noisy is also quite harsh on the old nipples. The adjustor wheel doesn't seem to have any effect on suction.

Just wondering whether it's because mine is past it's best or it's the same for all of them!

thanks

I found my Medela pump quite noisy....it made me laugh when it suggest that you can continue to watch TV or take a phone call whilst pumping LOL

Other than that, I found it to be really good - the suction adjuster worked well. I got mine brand new so it may be that your's is just a little past its best.

my medela mini elcetric one did work pretty well tho... this was for the third baby mind, nothing could pump a drop out of me before then but the hosp grade one made the best effort.
