Tomy tipee sippy cup and water for bf baby?

The cup came with the tomy steam steriliser, but I can't figure it out! /in order to let water out through the 'spout' you have to unscrew it a bit, but then it's really loose and water comes out from round the lid. DD is 5 months and bf but it's soooo hot I want her to have some water (if she wants it), I know bf babies shouldn't need water but it really is hot and she's not happy. I don't really want to give her a bottle, so what do I do?

You just need to feed her more. I know it's hard to believe but they really don't need water! I'm in London with a 27 week old b/fed baby and he just wants to feed little and often atm.

I know that really, it's just that dd is in a really good and predictable routine - and now its all gone crazy. I don't get on very well with demand feeding.

more milk in this weather - it won't last forever and once the temp drops you can go back to the routine.

which cup is it? If it's this one you have to bite the spout to make it work - dd didn't get the hang of it till about 9m.

If you really want to offer her water, a cup with a soft spout that works by sucking alone like the Avent Magic Cup might be easier for her to work out.

yes if it is the easiflow cup you have to bite the spout to get the water out. My lo's got on best with the tommee tippee first cup which has a flip up spout and no valve or you could take the whole lid unit off the easiflow cup and offer sips of water from an open cup (with you holding it!)
