How's it going? Is she any better at b-feeding during the day etc? (I spoke to you on your 'reverse cycling' thread a wee while ago

hi!

WELL...the night feeding has calmed down slightly - we are back to 3/4hrly feeds as opposed to 1/2hrly so that is something.

Foodwise she has been trying to nick off our plates for weeks, so I thought she'd really love her grub but she is really not all that interested! She's happy to munch on things like breadsticks, rice cakes and rusk/biscuity things, and a fair amount goes in, but fruit and veggies get totally rejected, I've tried both BLW-style veggie "chips" and mashed up stuff on a spoon, she just doesn't seem to like the taste.

Her daytime feeding is still quite rubbish, but I'm finding I can put her off for a wee bit longer so that we can get home/wait till people have left etc and she has a better feed then. eg today we went to a cafe where normally i would have had to wrestle with her to feed, flashed boob everywhere etc. Instead she munched on/threw about some breadsticks and i didn't even try to feed her, meant her next feed was about 3.5hrs after the previous one rather than 2.5-3, but she managed and we've just had a fairly decent feed just now.

sorry loooong waffly answer but basically things are slightly better! how about you guys? how old is your lo now? we are at 27wks

lol at 'wrestle with her to feed, flashed boob everywhere'! Sounds like the stage I'm at still with ds, in fact was doing that very thing this morn in a cafe!! He's still only 21 weeks, so another 5 before solids begin. I'm starting to have serous daydreams and fantasising about weaning (god knows why because it was just a faff with dd!). I am hoping for just extending the length of time between feeds a bit at least or to be able to distract him with breadsticks etc, just like you seem to be doing. I think I'm going to do a bit of puree and some finger foods, is that what you're doing?
He's still rubbish at feeding during day, peering around, or face crumpling into tears at a loud noise etc next to him while he feeds
I would guess that things will get better for you from now on in - maybe no sleeping through the night or anything, but just more predictable and manageable maybe....?
