bruise on my nipple - should I be worried?

I'm BF my 5 month old and have discovered a very dark bruise on my left nipple. It's not really painful or lumpy, just unsightly. Is it worth going to the GP about? I also express milk, could the bruise have been caused by this?

Sorry, lots of questions, but any advice welcome. Thanks.

Is it the equivalent of a "love bite"- remember those from teenage days...?

Can be caused by expressing and feeding.

If it is it'll fade after 2-3 days.

Prob no need to see the doc in the absence of any other symptoms - pain, tenderness, lumps etc

Thanks gagarin, will keep an eye on it. I did wonder if it might be like a love bite. Feel less anxious now!
