i literally cant get enough food after a huge meal im still hungry. my boyf is at the food disposal unit ive become, im actually slighty embarrassed and ashamed at how much food im eating, the weight isnt the issue the pounds are coming off, its stupid i know but it just doesnt seem ladylike to be eating like a trucker.

How old is LO? I ate for England when DD was weeks old (even now if she really goes for it and she is nearly 19m).

They are feeding from your reserves. As long as you are eating when you really are hungry and drinking loads of water you should be fine. Try to be good and eat healthy, I found I had more cravings after she was born than before

I particularly liked Green and Blacks dark mint chocolate - DP brought me a bar the night she was born - it was the first thing I ate, perhaps that had something to do with it!

I found that keeping a banana, a bottle of water and a cereal bar near the nursing chair helped, I would munch away at 3am as she fed, that way I was not desperate for Breakfast i the Morning.

I remember eating 6 maybe more times a day. 4 am would be having 2 weetabix and be eating again at 7 am.

i also consumed huge amounts of food during the 17m i breastfed for. it was out of character and was often high fat foods that i would have avoided prior to having my dd but i just couldn't help it! i also kept quiet about my massive food consumption around my friends with babies as the weight still dropped off me whilst they struggled to lose it and i felt like it would be rubbing their noses in it! interestingly when i stopped bfeeding my appetite did decrease dramatically so there must have been a physical need for all that grub
