I thought she had a c-section because someone had told her a horror story about tearing but maybe I am getting my celebs confused! Great if she is breasfeeding...

abib - I think you are thinking of Christina Aguilera

mum2samandalex · 06/03/2008 22:50

yeah that was christina. She said it only took her 10mins to push the baby out and that she has found a whole new respect for the female body with the whole breastfeeding thing and what the body can do.

aw, she's alright. anyway, she's famous, so she can have her pick. i really think it says something essentially good about her character that she has a really ugly bloke. my dh is v. dashing, i hardly need add. [ugly character]

celebs will say all kinds of things, though.

i'd take anything i read about nicole with a grain of salt.

christina gives a fantastic concert if you ever get the chance to go and see her live.

couple years ago she was dirrty one and britney was holly angel.
it good that she gave birth naturally and breastfeeding.
means there is special bond not like pass baby to nanny routine

I have had 3 C-sections and will be having a 4th. Does that make me bad?

You're getting confused DforDiva.

Christina had a C section
Nicole had a natural birth and is Breast feeding.

Personally I think it's a bit crass to judge people because of the way they delivered, and because they are famous.

babyboos · 07/03/2008 01:31

like you say littlelapin lifesaving c-section not elective like these celebs too posh to push

Report
mum2samandalex · 07/03/2008 09:30

oh sorry didnt mean to offend anyone jsut meant she choose to have a natural delivery rather then a c-section which alot celebs do.thought people would get that. I mean christina apparently had one because she was scared of tearing.

Cant believe anything slebs say imo

After having 2 'natural' deliveries (didn't feel very natural to me!) and tearing both times- I would prefer an elective section too!!!! Am due to give birth in 6 weeks and am TERRIFIED of tearing again- however am not having a c-section.

Nicole Ritchies says she's breastfeeding, but she also said that she's had to give up loads of food because her baby has colic. I think that gives a misleading impression of breastfeeding.

This is her quote:
'?I eat really bland food ? chicken noodle soup, vegetables, fish. I had to cut out milk, no tomatoes, no lettuce. You think you have to cut everything out when you?re pregnant, but you really have to cut everything out when you?re breastfeeding.?

from:ok, I know it's babyrazzi and should probably be taken with a pinch of salt

apparently, someone i know whose sis is a nurse in amaerica, over 90% of births done by c-section as it carries less risk of complications for the baby, and in america "land of the lawsuit",(and land of astronomical medical bills) doctors prefer to encourage c-section deliveries.

Report
belgo · 07/03/2008 09:42

I think that very much depends on which hospital you go to trishpops. I knwo a few American women who gave birth naturally in America.

I too read the OK article in question and apparently she doesn't have a nanny (not yet, at least...). But then again I don't suppose she has loads to do of a day either. But I did revise my dismal opinion of her somewhat.
