Question about bf and periods

Ds is 10.5 months old, I'm back in ft work, I feed v often during the night, in addition to morning, when I'm back from work, and bedtime. Oh and I pump in my dinner hour too (only about two or three ounces but it's the thought that counts isn't it?)

For the last two months I've had chronic period pains for two or three days... and then a bleed lasting about half a day.

Why is this? Is it something to do with prolactin? Why am I getting period pains but no real period?

Does anyone know? I'm sure it's nothing and is probably 'cos I'm bf but I just want to be sure nothing weird's happened to my equipment!

I can honestly say I have not heard of this, RtP...periods do sometimes take time to get back to normal after bf, and this may well be on that spectrum, but as I say, I have not come across it.
