Infant feeding

Oh poop - freezer door been ajar for a couple of hours, what do I do with my EBM?

I have just discovered my freezer door has been left ajar, and whilst things about an inch in eg pizzas, have softened a little on the edge nearest the door, they are not totally frozen.

What do I do with my EBM stocks that I have been building up for my return to work in 3 weeks time?

are they soft or still hard?

If they're mainly still frozen, then they will be ok.
if you are massively worried, then it can go in the fridge for 3 or 4 days and i would suggest that you just use that and maybe just feed lo from you at bedtime, and substitute all the rest with thawed out milk, whilst you express all of the normal feeds and freeze them to replace your freezer stock. IYSWIM. obv i don't know if this would work in practice as i don't know how much you are feeding / expressing and how large your EBM store is!!
hope it sort of adds up somewhere...

Luckily they don't seem to have thawed enough to have liquid around the block, but the block has slumped a bit where the bottle or bag has been tipped from upright IYSWIM.

I always put them slightly further in the drawer, but I will feel a lot happier feeding them to ds now I have your advice.

What gigglewitch says - if you are hugely worried, you could get someone else (dh/dp/mum/relative) to cup/bottle feed ebm while you express the "missed" feed?
