DD is 8 weeks old, and is feeding well (has reflux, but that's another issue).
She is on breastmilk - either directly from me, or ebm.
I express tice a day, and put the milk in a sterilised (milton bath) bottle, in the fridge - it then gets fed to her that night (dh does it so I can go to bed). Any surplus gets frozen in a special bm bag.
My pump gets sterilised once a day - overnight - I express twice a day - a small amount in the morning, and I empty my boobs just before I go to bed. The pump goes into the fridge in a plastic bag in between times.
Is this enough? MiL (cuss her!) has had a go at me telling me that I'm risking dd's health by not sterilising the pump after every time I use it, and that I shouldn't top up the morning bottle with the evening milk. Is she right, or is she talking b0llocks?
I need references to wave under her nose ... or I need telling that I really am in danger of harming dd by not sterilising everything enough.
