(6 Posts)My 5 week old has been just taking breast but now I want to introduce a bottle so will start expressing
Her normal feeding routine is to feed from one breast per feed. Should I therefore pump from the breast she doesn't feed from or should I wait an hour and pump from both breasts?
Anyone?
If you are comfortable you can pump from the other breast at the same time you feed your baby. Then you can wait an hr to pump from both breast. It helps to increase milk also
@Dakmom if I pump from both will it mess up my supply of my body is used to feeding from one breast at a time?
If*
I don’t think it will affect your supply. In fact supply will improve when the demand is more. If you have any query you can clarify it with your health visitor. My health visitor advised me to do this way and a lot of websites too.
