We've spent weeks researching and testing breast pumps and bottles in real homes with real families. Read our baby feeding bottle and breast pump reviews to find out which ones were awarded Mumsnet Best.

(3 Posts)Hi, my DS is 9 months old and has 3 bottles a day. I'm still using tommee tippee bottles with teats. He also has a sippy cup (doidy) for water at meal times. Should all his drinks be from cups/beakers? Its just dawned on me he might be too old for teats now but NHS says 12 months to be off bottles but 6 months to use cups!? Does this also mean I'm pointlessly sterilising milk bottles when I dont bother for his water cups??
Ahhh. Any help appreciated!
P.s. always been bottle fed if that makes a difference
I say bottles until 11.5/ 12 months.
Or unless he refuses the bottles.
No bottles after a year and you don't need to sterilize now. But make sure you use boiled water for the formula, that still needs to be prepared properly.
