Infant feeding

Milk from fridge

In case anyone's up and can help!

2 day old was stirring so got ready made milk from the fridge and put the bottle in warm water - warmed it slightly and got it ready in a bottle thinking she'd want it soon

It's ready now but she's gone back to sleep!

How long can I keep it out for?

It only warmed slightly but enough for a bit of steam to gather in the bottle. A bit worried as I think she had Diarrhea last night so wary to risk anything.

Will this bottle be good for the next hour?

Thanks

I think you get 2 hours on formula but check the bottle. What brand is it?

Also congratulations on your new baby!

Check the bottle. Some say one hour, some say two.

Newborn poo is usually pretty watery, diarrhoea is unlikely.

Thank you!
She woke up in under an hour so I fed her in the end

Diarrhea wise I suppose it's not that loose as such but it's funny texture and sticky

Last one was quite yellow and stringy. And it seems like each time she feeds she poops immediately- I think that's normal..

Any thoughts would love to hear them!

I wouldn't worry too much at this stage. It's very early and you and your baby are getting used to things. As long as she's feeding well and you have a good number of wet and dry nappies then try not to worry. The NHS website is fantastic for baby advice so have a look on there.

And as everyone says, enjoy the newborn cuddles!

Come back to MN if you need advice any time.

And newborn poo changes quite a bit in the first few weeks. You can find info on that online.
