How do i stop breastfeeding?

So my little one is nearly 9 weeks old and up until now has been EBF, I have been expressing so I can give him a bottle every now and then as well.
I'm wanting to stop breastfeeding, I have tried hard at it and it just isn't for me for reasons that are quite triggering for me.
I'm unsure how to go about stopping though?

Do I just stop completely and deal with the pain of engorged boobs?
Or do i gradually reduce the number of breast feeds and introduce formula? If I do gradually reduce the feeds and say want to keep the morning and night feeds how do I go about that?

FTM so unsure how to do it and would really appreciate any advice.

Thanks 😊

Speak to a health visitor. Don't stop completely as you may get mastitis

Just start to cut back. Your body adjusts.

Don’t stop suddenly, gradually cut back. You can mix feed, I am. Pick which feeds you still want to do and replace the rest gradually so your supply adjusts I’m on my second go a breast feeding and both have been mix fed.
I feed my 6 week old all day and give two bottle feeds at night one at midnight one at 3ish because she has reflux and has carobel in her milk. She has to sit up for a long time after a breast feed, bottle feeds stay down better.
It might be a good idea to keep 4 feeds a day until 6 months just to keep your supply going. Or two long feeds and a couple of shorts top ups.
