My son isn't keen on finger foods - chews them, screams and spits them out or merrily chucks them on the floor. He often gets upset and reaches for me, and I wonder if he is reaching to bf. He will eat dime things occasionally - potato chunks, bananas, avocado, cheese to name some.
He will eat purees but wants to feed himself so will grab the spoon. I let him try by getting the spoon near his mouth and letting him do the rest which takes ages but is ok.
I'm worried that at 11mo he seems to be struggling with finger foods when the expectation is that babies are eating 'normally' at 1yo right? Or have I got this wrong? He is still bfing 4 to 5 times in a 24hr period so maybe he isn't hungry enough? Worried there may sone physiological issues due to his tongue tie which was corrected at 5 weeks.
