Am struggling to get our DD to finish her feed, am worried she is not feeding enough as only takes between 100ml to 150ml not as much as recommended by HV and on fomula guidelines! She is growing nicely now weighs in at 11.2lbs and sleeps well am I panicking over nothing?????? HV made me paranoid............Any advice about the squirming much appreciated as just started happening this week

she will take as much as she needs have you tried burping her an extra time or doing an extra bottle with less in all the bottles hth

If she's gaining weight then she's fine. Try feeding her more upright, helps with wind.

Thanks ladies, have tried both of the above. Do you think squirming is from wind? Just that she really cries with it sometimes....... :-(

have you tried a faster teat? maybe your lo is frustrated with the flow rate now she is a bit older.

My ds's both did this, it was colic. Try giving infacol about half an hour before her feed. Worked for me!

I also found that the boots disposable bottles gave them less wind.(Was recommended by another mum.)Worked out more expensive but was worth it.

thanks for all of your advice I had been giving her colief drops which I had been cutting back on and stupidly realised after your wind comments that I should get her back on them and presto!
