(2 Posts)To my utter amazement I'm breastfeeding my 5 day old baby having originally sworn I would FF. Any way, my confusion comes from what to do after I have fed him. Do I hold him a bit longer or put him down. Does he need to be upright for a bit I'm a bit confused. What is the done thing? It is it baby dependant?
Baby dependent.
But with a newborn, they are likely to want to be held (4th trimester). Use this time to recover while snuggling a small sleepy squish! I miss those days now I'm running round after my 2 yo DS
Try winding after each feed- it's a myth that it's never necessary for BF babies!
