a friend of mine had her first baby last week & is struggling a bit with b-feeding. i am trying to find some support for her.

she has rung a helpline (one of the 'big 4' i guess), & i've found a drop in in deptford. i've also reccomended she go to king's (thanks mi ). does anyone else have any marvellous suggestions? tia.

if it is what she wants to do she should keep trying as it takes a while to get used to bf.
she can get extra help from her mw/hv

Have you met an HV lately, Meandmy? If she's at my local practice, which is not unlikely as she lives round the corner from me apparently, they're farking hopeless.

The drop in at St George's is great if Tooting/Balham would be any good.

kings college hospital have a good infant feeding co-ordinator who keeps up to date lists of all the local bf cafes/support groups. there are at least 3 within walking distance from my house, so i'm sure there will be something local to your friend.
