How would you feel if a close friend...

Sent you a very passionate round robin email about the benefits of breastfeeding, when you should have been celebrating your first wedding anniversary perhaps breastfeeding your own baby, but you were actually dumped a month before your wedding and don't know whether you will actually have children let alone breastfeed them.

Would it be reasonable to think that the friend is just a tad insensitve?

Dont be too harsh, she probably has'nt noticed the connection.

huge leap between a round robin email and a mythical child that never existed so think you are being a little unreasonable

however anybody who sends a round robin email should be shot on sight

so its a tricky one really

was it her writing the passionate email or did you cut and paste a news article?

either way, how very odd.

I would think she was just a tad mad.

yabu - dont think sshe would have made any sort of connection - or realise you were feeling this way.

sorry, her cut and paste

this isn't one of these odd threads and it's you sending the round robin mail is it? (apols for calling you mad in that case)

It was sent to a friend of mine, she is a little miffed.

I hate round robin emails with a passion. I would rather spend time sending mail individually as I find the whole concept of round robins a little pretentious.

did you send the email? Or recieved it? Or is this all hypothetical?

sorry x posts.

I would be upset if I was your friend.

oh I agree (re round robins, certainly of that nature)

oh your friend (who was dumped) is probably still feeling very sore and pissed off - she's reading a bit too much into it but she's ALLOWED to I reckon, while she's in pre-marriage-dumped-hell. Just indulge her for a bit.

she's allowed to be pissed off at being dumped and have problems around the anniversary

she is not allowed to invent a child that was never conceived though and take umbrage over that .. because that's just plain weird

I'm glad you agree regarding round robins though

reasonable to think that the person who received it is a tad TOO sensitive and self obsessed!

So no one can mention kids around your friend then?
How old is she?
Are people allowed to mention boyfriends, husbands, Mother-In-Laws, invites to weddings?
She sounds very sensitive and the round robin sender sounds a bit OTT too. Are all your friends like this?!!

having an email sent about bfing is not the same as talking about children.

why would anyone send such an email anyway? The sender sounds a little odd.

So she was dumped 13 months ago? Well she would be doing well to have concieved and given birth in that time.
I don't think the friend was being deliberately insensitive at all.
Does your friend still(after 13 months) not think that perhaps it was a good thing to be spared a bad marriage ?
