What sort of problem?

bag seams spliting when in the freezer, therefore leaking milk when defrosting

Send them back. They must be faulty.

I've heard of this happening. The Boots storage bags warns about it on the box. They suggest you store them in a box to reduce the amount of friction from other stuff in the freezer - but I don't know if that makes a difference. Poor you, it must be gutting to see all that hard collected milk drain away

they are, I have emailed lansinoh and they are sending me a supply to double-bag the milk I have already frozen, and a new box to say sorry, just wondered if anyone else had the same problem or maybe i'm doing something wrong when I freeze it?

thankfully, after the first time one leaked I learnt to put it in a sterilised container when defrosting so I don't lose any, I thought I was just puncturing them somehow, only thought to look at it yesterday and spotted it was a split seam!

had a lovely email from them, explaining the problems with plastics and making the bags work, at least now I know I can double bag them all the time

that's exactly why I have a freezer full too 2Happy

went back to work this week, hence realising it was happening every time I defrosted some, before now I've only used odd ones now and then!

Will be interested to know if double bagging makes a difference. What container do you defrost in? I was going to get CM to defrost under running water (since I don't know yet how much he'll need so don't want to defrost lots in advance and waste it) but can't do that if it's going to leak everywhere.

i've been putting it inside a sterilised marg tub and standing in water. I gave him a few expressed feeds before i went back to work so i could see how much he took at different times of day, and freeze quantities accordingly. then i express at night and keep that to send unfrozen as a back up feed in case he needs more, that way it only needs to be warmed, not defrosted, and if not used it goes in the freezer later (i only work mornings). I am going to get some of those microwave sterilsing bags tho, that way it could still be put under running water to defrost
