I want to start breastfeeding my baby

Hiya mums
Ive stopped nursing my baby over 2moths and half now And i want to restart nursing him. I don't know how to do it but i feel so sad because i stopped. Can you please help me. My milk suply is very low if i pump my breast i can only make 1oz. And now my baby doesnt like my breast no more. So am jst thinking how to pump more so i will give him my milk in feeding bottle.

Hi, Emily. You can start breastfeeding again. A good start is to good relactation.

It's hard to suggest specific things as the experience changes according to how long you breastfed for (the longer the better, as milk will return more readily than if you stopped when your baby was still very young).

You also need support and advice on what to do to help your baby become interested in the breast again....and this will be affected by his age, too.

You will almost certainly need to express your milk many times a day (8 times in 24 hours) to 'tell' your body to make milk again.

It's not easy, but it can be done :)

I've no advice or relactation but please don't judge how much milk you're producing by the amount you can pump. My ds was ebf. He thrived just fine, but I couldn't pump more than about 3oz a day....
