Business trip w/o 7 month old. Milk supply drying up?

I recently went on a 4 day business trip. LO is being looked after by SAHD, had a mix of freezer supply and some formula.

I pumped while away but my stash went bad as freezer pack confiscated Sad

Since returning my supply has seemed down, LO gulped down a bottle of formula in the night, and my most recent pump gave close to zero

I'm worried my supply is gone, I'm not ready to stop yet

Could it have dried up already? What can I do to encourage supply to build up and LO to rekindle his preference for me over a bottle - I'm worried he's switched allegiance

Any advice gratefully received

When my daughter decided to self wean at a year I dried up in two days. Keep trying but your output may have changed.

Remember that women can relactate so it’s hopefully not the end of the road for you. Lots of skin to skin with baby and let them latch on as much as possible. Hopefully someone with more experience can advise.

Yes put baby to the breast hourly like when he was a newborn to stimulate your milk supply - especially at night as the hormones that stimulate production are highest at night. It should come back.

I went back to bf after a week away from my 10 mo. Persevere, the supply will re-establish itself.

Babymoon! If you can, spend a day putting your baby to the breast often, cosleeping helps if it works for you. If you can't take a day off, see if you can wake early to feed first thing and maybe again before work, then a couple of times before bed. If that isn't working, keep up with the pumping. Don't give a bottle unless your baby is really distressed or losing weight.

I managed to get my milk back up after having to stop for a week around the same age, it is possible with some work for a few days! Don't be too worried about the pump as well, it's never as efficient as a baby.

If it is the end of feeding, then that's ok too, your baby has had a lot of your milk and will have benefited and will still be fed and loved.

Yes it's possible for your supply to come back

I had to do 3 4-day trips to the US whilst bfing both mine and still continued until they were 2

Lots of feeding on demand if possible

As long as you feed as much as possible, then it will come back. I travelled without ds from when he was 6 months, and by a year doing a full week, and I continued to bf till he was 2.
When I was around, he never had a bottle which I do think helped
