We've spent weeks researching and testing breast pumps and bottles in real homes with real families. Read our baby feeding bottle and breast pump reviews to find out which ones were awarded Mumsnet Best.

Hi my DS is 4 months on Friday and I've started dropping a breast feed for a bottle so I can gradually reduce my milk supply.
What I would like to know is if I'm right in replacing the full breast feed with the recommended amount of formula for 1 feed at his age. He was 8lbs 7oz born and is currently on the 91st percentile for height and weight. He would feed all day if he could!
He is currently fed 5 times during the day then usually once over night, he was sleeping through but Is having a growth spurt. He is fed at roughly the same times every day so I have been replacing the time I would normally breast feed with a bottle and he has been happily taking the whole bottle and continuing to try and suck the empty bottle.
Am I doing this right?
