My 5.5 month old (24 week) baby is on the 94th weight centile (having jumped centiles steadily from the 10th at 2 weeks old following failed attempt to BF).
Started weaning with first tastes last week. Going well - today she had 2 spoons broccoli 2 spoons potato (using Ella's Kitchen first food book). All the literature I've read states baby still needs her usual amount of formula at this point - which should be 5 bottles of 7oz (so 35oz a day) according to Aptamil or even more I'd calculated by weight as she is 18.5lbs.
She hates been woken for the dream feed and will go 7pm to 7am if I let her. Problem is that with a bottle every 4 hours that means she is only getting 4 x 7oz feeds (28oz).
She has plenty of wet and dirty nappies and she would certainly let me know if she was hungry... but still I worry that I am technically underfeeding her if I let her sleep like she wants to?
Advice very much appreciated.
Thanks
