Demand breast feeding or routine breast feeding?

At the start one has no option but to breast feed on demand as that is how supply is built up( unless of course you are going to DH an awful lot of pumping). Feeding on demand is a bonus of breast feeding as as soon as the baby starts rooting around for milk you can satisfy their need rather than having to go off to get a bottle sorted out. One could try to be more routine led once the baby is older but this applies to breast and formula feeding.
What are your thoughts?

What @yikesanotherbooboo said!

You will find you start to form a 'routine' as they get a bit older. Can also do things like feed a few times before you go out even if they don't demand as such = scream free car journey or trip to Sainsbury's 😂
