We've spent weeks researching and testing breast pumps and bottles in real homes with real families. Read our baby feeding bottle and breast pump reviews to find out which ones were awarded Mumsnet Best.

(2 Posts)My DD who is one won't drink much water she probably only drinks one cup a day? Is this enough as I have been told its not?
She gets quite constipated and her poos are massive they are like adult poos and it causes her so much pain
I've tried fruit juice cordial etc doesn't make much difference. She has a cup with a straw thing and that's the only one she will drink from tried loads!
How much should she be drinking if she's having like 18oz of cows milk a day too?
Any advice would be great!
18 floz of cow's milk is rather a lot OP. This might explain her reluctance to drink water and her constipation.
Could you cut her down to the recommended 10 floz a day by only offering it before her nap and before bed?
I'd give her a soppy cup with water with her meals and she might take more water if you try her with a straw. Quite often they like the novelty
Have you tried her with some high water foods too like cauliflower, broccoli, melon, soup and jelly? Homemade ice lollies might help too
