HELP WEANING

My sons 3 weeks old on Friday. I've been EBF since the day he was born but just finding it too hard to keep up with feeds as he's developed a bit of reflux or an allergy where he is just throwing all his feeds up so he's constantly hungry. He got prescribed gaviscon but it makes him constipated and I don't like medicating him so young really.

Went and bought some Aptamil reflux formula today and a prep machine so me and OH can share feeds. I just want to know how I wean him onto his formula and bottle? Do I just replace one feed a day with a bottle and eventually he'll be fully on a bottle??? Help please xx

Yes, that sounds like a good plan.

Gaviscon is not the best medication for reflux especially if you are bf. If you want to continue bf or if he is still struggling when ff go back to the GP and ask for Rantitadine.
