Hungry Baby? Tongue Tie?

Hi,
My third baby is now four weeks old. He has quite a prominent tongue tie. In my area they don’t routinely snip unless there’s feeding issues- as he was breastfeeding OK (with support) and was back at his birth weight by day seven, and then gained 9oz by day 14 they aren’t doing anything.
He was feeding great, every 2-3hrs for 10-20 mins and content between feeds. He then dropped to feeding doe just five minutes but lactation support said he’s probs more efficient as he was still going 2-3hrs.
Monday eve he started feeding every hour (I assumed a growth spurt) yet he then upped the anti on Tues to every 20-30mins, this is still the case now. Sometimes he’s less, he only feeds for a few minutes and then falls asleep. I’ve spoke to HV and lactation support but as they gaining weight they aren’t concerned.
I can’t go on feeding like this, I didn’t shower or get dressed yesterday, he was constantly at my boob.
I’m feeling guilty as my other children have concerts etc coming up and I’m dreading taking baby with me to see them, the school run is a screaming nightmare, and I just want to cry 😢
Anyone been through anything similar?
I think it’s the tongue tie, I think he’s getting tired trying to draw the milk out- I’ve tried stripping him for skin/skin, brushing his cheek etc to wake him to no avail.
Sorry for long post 😢 x

Private tongue tie snip? If you’re concerned and it’s not available on the NHS that’s your only option isn’t it?

My gut feeling would be that the tongue tie wouldn’t suddenly have him begin to feed so much more frequently and that there would be another cause - illness, growth spurt etc but that doesn’t mean you can’t get it shipped to rule it out
