Start using Mumsnet PremiumPus on breast pad
(2 Posts)I just took my breast pad off and there’s yellow/green pus crusted on to it.
I’m still feeding from that nipple and it’s not red, I don’t have a temp or feel unwell. Any ideas? It is very very sore (the nipple) and cracked, there was some blood earlier.
Maybe it wasn’t pus, exactly? You know when a child grazes their knee and you leave a plaster on, the warm moist environment makes the wound go a bit gungey? It sounds a lot like that, especially as you say there are no signs of infection.
