Start using Mumsnet PremiumDr Brown bottle assembly help!
(4 Posts)DS is 4 weeks old and has been getting bad wind, so we’re trying Dr Brown bottles.
We were using the MAM ones which I would sterilise then assemble them all so they were ready to use through the day. But I can’t figure out how to do this with the Dr Brown ones.
If we assemble them for later use, when we’re ready to add milk, we’ll have to pull out the green vent with our fingers, thus making them no longer sterile. The only way to keep them sterile that I can see is to assemble them straight from the steriliser, only at the time we need one.
Is this right or has sleep deprivation killed my brain cells? But surely people use them when they leave the house?!
If you’ve used them do you have any tips on assembling them ahead of time?
I just used my fingers. On every bottle I’ve ever made up.
I've always used my fingers too - obviously always washed hands before doing so.
I use my fingers also
