Hey guys

My almost 7 month DD keeps waking for a night feed still is this normal?

She's bottle feed goes to bed most nights for 7 without fail however she's waking at 4 for a feed.

I've tried to rock her etc and get her back to sleep but she doesn't as soon as I feed her she will go back down till 7/8. She doesn't have a dummy.

Do I reduce night feeds? Try water? Or let her cry a little?? She's not having a great deal of solids at the moment she's mainly baby led weaned as she's not keen on me spoon feeding

Thanks in advance

Totally normal! She's only 7 months, waking up once is brilliant!!

She's only 7 months old, do not remove the night feed or give her water. "Still" waking, only once a night? That's fantastic at her age, count yourself lucky and stop trying to make a baby go 12 hours without her primary food.

Mine stopped waking for night feeds at 8, 9 and 10 months (3 babies).
You could try giving her a bottle at 11pm before you go to bed and see if that gets her through.
Once mine were eating 3 good meals and having 3-4 milk feeds in the day, I reduced and stopped the 11pm feed.
Two of them then slept through at 8 and 10 months, but unfortunately the one who stopped night feeds at 9 months didn't sleep through for two more years! So partly it is luck.

I'd say this is better than normal.

My son is 6 months and 1 week old.. He still wakes for food every 2 or 3 hours... The other night he had a bottle at 7 (200mls) was still hungry so breastfed a little then slept to 830 and fed again slept to 1 fed slept to 3 then 5 then up for the day at 630 (during night feeds all breastfed!)
I'm back at work.. I'm knackered.. Also normal?????

I'm not trying to make her go without food I'm just checking it's normal and it's not something else other than her just being hungry first time mum so all new to me.
