Hi all. Sorry if this is in the wrong thread but I'm a little concerned about my DS! He has been constantly wanting food no matter what and he would cry while I cook it and wait for it to cool down! Once he has it he scoffs it all in one go and then he starts crying cos he wants more!

Once he is satisfied, he is happy and starts playing! But it don't last long before he starts whinging again especially if he sees me have a bite of something to eat! He never usually did this. Today, he's had about 4 bottles of 8oz milk, he had a big breakfast, big lunch and also snacks in between and his milk in between, but he was still hungry.

I am worried that I'm giving him too much milk/food cos his belly has popped out! He has a cup of milk before bed and it satisfies him but he was screaming and kept crying even though he was exhausted and so I gave him another and then he settled down and went sleep? Can this many bottles cause harm to his kidneys?! Blush I feel like a shit mum sometimes like I'm not feeding him enough!

Maybe he's on a growth spurt? My two boys went through phases of eating loads just before they suddenly grew more than usual. Maybe give him more foods that will fill him for longer like porridge and banana for breakfast, etc. If you're worried, ask your health visitor but don't feel bad about it, it's quite normal at times and doesn't mean you're a bad mum in the slightest!

@MilkyCoffeeandSkinnySyrup my DS would often eat until bursting just before a growth spurt too.

What does he eat in a typical day?
