How long did you use a breastfeeding cushion?

My baby is 1 month old. It breaks my back and arms to breastfeed him. Is it still worth it to buy a breastfeeding cushion? Or is he going to be too big? Any advice on brands? I looked at Doomoo.
Thanks!

If you’re struggling an£ you think it will help, I’d get one. Having said that, I just tended to use pillows or cushions but then I was stoned broke Smile

Congratulations on your new LO too Thanks

Can you try using pillows you already have lying around the house? I’ve never used a bf cushion specifically (though I do have a v shaped pillow but don’t use it for feeding). But the problem with them is they aren’t adjustable so you can’t take out a pillow or add more in. You can’t puff them up under 1 arm if you really need extra support there. I’ve found it works better just to use pillows and cushions I already have to prop myself up when/where I need it.

I used mine until I stopped at 12 months. It was also really useful for propping DD up when she was starting to sit up. Got the bestseller from Amazon (grey star pattern) for about 12 quid - I think it was worth every penny.

I have the same one as Double and it’s invaluable! Used it till dd was 7 months or so for feeding and still use it now as a neck prop while I’m sitting up in bed. It’s really good when babies are learning to sit as well because it’s quite firm so is supportive.

I bought mine from JojoMamanBebe (you can usually find a discount code to add to the online checkout if you google 'jojomamanbebe discount code')

I still use mine with 8.5mth old DS and I tend to use it as a regular pillow at night as it works wonders on the aches I get in my shoulders and neck if I can get to it before DP 😂😂

I used mine for about 8 weeks but not round my front, round my back. Not sure how but it stopped me hunching over, I do remember my back being in agony for the first 8-10 weeks but it’s fine now after 6 months of feeding.
Just remember to wash the pillow case, it gets milky.

Yes buy one, still using mine daily at 17 months! Tenner from tesco so probably one of the best value baby things we bought.
Good for sitting them up in at around 4 months too, if you think you may not bf for a long time but want to justify it.
If you want to save money, a normal pillow works too, but the shaped ones are better if you have a tenner spare! Enjoy the cuddles :)

I'm still using mine with 14mo DS. I find mine really helpful for nightfeeds when very long DS needs to lie down rather than feed sitting up.

Had a cheapo one from asda. Used it every day. Also have Ikea rocking chair which is perfect and so comfortable for feeding.

I used mine until I stopped after about 28 months, I liked it so much I had one upstairs and downstairs so I didn’t have to carry it around with our children. It was one of the best things I bought. I used them all the time.
